227 InfoSec began with a simple realization. If we wanted to build something of our own, we had to stop thinking about it and take the leap. After years of working for others, our founder reached a point familiar to many people, wondering what else was possible, but also recognizing the uncertainty that comes with stepping away from a steady role. On February 27, the founder was sitting at his desk and realized that if he didn’t take the chance soon, he would always look back with regret. That moment gave the company its name, and in August of 2017, 227 InfoSec was incorporated, and the work began quietly. Building relationships, completing registrations and certifications, establishing partnerships, and laying the foundation for what 227 would become.
